Well, I made it, and in one piece too. I am now firmly installed in my sister's house in Philadelphia. The rooms I'll be staying in are not quite finished yet, but I will be keeping you updated on the progress. Keep your eyes on the pictures up on the sides.
My job interviews have gone well. I really hope I get the job with Neighborhood Living magazine. It seems to have a lot of growth potential, and I really enjoyed the people there. The other job is a little harder to get to, and it's in Jersey! Otherwise, it seems like a good job also, just not something that I could start in right away.
I've forgotten how much I missed living in such a city. I know, not everyone can take the press of people and the noise, but it's so much a part of me, and always has been. I can get to Starbucks, two Dunkin' Donuts, Seven Eleven, three banks, the El Station, church, chinese food, water ice, or cheesesteaks, all on foot and within fifteen minutes. You gotta love that.
Church is going to be great. I'm going to be taking the younger children's classes (both on Sundays and Wednesday nights) from my sister, so she can focus on the teenagers better. I love teaching the little ones. I just hope I can keep up the energy needed for the rugrats. I'm also already signed up to do something musical. I enjoy playing in church.
It's also good to be with my family again. I feel a bit like a mooch though. So I'm doing chores for my sister while I'm staying with them. I've made dinner and done lots of dishes. So far, everything's going well.
